A lifelong resident of North Carolina, Susan began her professional career after earning a Fine Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As the demand for her artwork grew, Susan opened a working art studio – The Farmhouse Studio – in 1987. The studio moved to a handsome Williamsburg-style building in 2002 where Susan continues to create her paintings in a wide variety of beautiful styles today. For more than thirty years, Susan's pastoral eighty-acre farm in Charlotte, North Carolina, has provided constant inspiration for her artwork. Living and working on the farm with her husband Al, their children, and grandchild, continues to provide constant support and encouragement of her creative spirit. Susan's aesthetically pleasing and accessible style reflect her passion for life and traditional values. Today, many of Susan's paintings can be found in private and corporate collections around the world. Her award- winning artwork has also been displayed at such national venues as the White House, Colonial Williamsburg and the National Historic Trust.
